Make friends, make noise. We host a variety of events that let you perform live on stage, or just rock out at a student concert.

OUR COMMUNITY

BRC aims to bring a strong sense of community to students and their bands who learn and rehearse with us, and to the wider Bristol music scene. We believe that music is more fun when it is shared, students are more likely to stay committed and progress if they can study with others, and that networking and collaborating with other musicians is one of the best ways for a professional musician to grow their career.

GET UP & ROCK

Those learning guitar, bass, drums or vocals can get involved in our loud & humourously chaotic ‘Get Up and Rock’ sessions, which allow students to develop their live performance skills and to try out playing in a band. We usually get around 30 musicians in these sessions, so there is plenty of opportunity to make new friends and start up bands.

The bands that we see growing will benefit from the BRC tutor’s help. We put on our own shows to help new performers get on stage and we love to see other students supporting each other at the gigs. We aim to get our bands on great line-ups with BRC tutor bands, touring acts or high-profile local bands.

LIVE PERFORMANCE

BRC can provide opportunities for students who dream of performing in front of screaming fans… So far you may have only experienced your friends screaming for you to turn it down, but if you’re willing to pursue your vision we can help you! We have had fantastic success with a number of our bands writing their own music, performing live around the South West, and being featured on radio shows. We have also built up a very good relationship with a variety of Bristol venues including 'The Exchange' in Old Market and  ‘The Thunderbolt’ in Totterdown, where we put on BRC nights throughout the year. Growing BRC bands can make their debut performances here in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
